Overall it was a great experience with this crew. On top of their multiple accommodations, they were very welcoming and kind to us. I'm definitely going to schedule other tours with them this summer!!
--The owner (Karen) and her employees at Adventure Vacations were so awesome!! They were extremely accommodating and easy-going about our boat tour reservations in the midst of crappy weather.
--We had tour scheduled on early Monday afternoon (when we first got there), but it was raining pretty hard when we arrived at her shop. The radar showed a brief window of no-rain that afternoon, and although they were set up to take us on the tour through the rain + this window of opportunity, Karen told us that we could reschedule for the following day so that we could go get our camp set up before rain started again (which we were very thankful for!!).
We traveled to Madeline Island for camping at Big Bay state park in mid-May 2017. Rainy and cold weather were on the forecast, but we still made the 5 hour trek to get there (comes with the territory of planning a camping trip in northern WI in May :) !!)
--Karen texted the next morning that they were ready to take us on the boat tour when we were. Weather had cleared up some, and we showed up to the shop around noon. Kyle was our captain and took us out on the lake at 1. The weather was quite chilly, but we bundled up and enjoyed the beautiful sights. Kyle did a heck of a job navigating through pretty large waves between a few of the islands as well. It was really fun despite the cold weather.
