Beautiful park- great for hiking, spending the day at the beach, lots to do. Great camping with clean bathrooms and hot showers.
Not really big enough to be charging state park fees. The management of the park is not very good. There's one super easy hiking trail with a few good views along the lake, but that's pretty much it.
Some of the most picturesque trails of any park. Great Beach area but not for the faint of heart. The water as you would expect is quite chilly. It's been a favorite of our family for years.
Use to own 10 acres of Madiline Island at the end of Hagins Rd. It's a great place to visit during the summer months, great place for the whole family, and very beautiful during any season for photographers.
Scouted here last weekend in hopes of camping extensively. Campground was typical, fairly close to neighbors but clean and organized. Super bummed there are no water views from anywhere in the campground. You can hike to see the water but when you are camping it is like camping anywhere else in the forest.
