I had heard that this was the place to camp on Madeline Island, however I was kind of disappointed. Positive - the view from the bay is amazing and walking trail connects to the State Park. Also, staff/host on site was friendly. Loved falling asleep to the sounds of loons and frogs. Negatives - All bathrooms have only cold water to wash hands. Showers are warm, but of course you have to pay for those. Non-electric campsite was very wet and muddy. Bought firewood for $5 but had trouble burning it because it was all damp. Mosquitoes and horseflies everywhere. Only access to the water is down a long staircase so I was unable to get my kayak down to the water since I was alone. That really bummed me out. And watch out for red squirrels as they will try and steal your food right in front of you. Overall a beautiful place if you can put up with the rest.

Campground is wonderful. Stayed on the newer side of the road with electricity. Short walk to one of the best beaches in WI.

Many visitors will call it the most beautiful beach area they have ever visited. Rentals of Boards and canoes on site.

Did not camp here, but drove thru site areas. Camping sites on lake side of road are smaller, and suited toward tent camping better also these sites are not typically as private. Sites on other side of road are larger and better suited to trailer and RV use. Seemed safe and nicely laid out.

Inexpensive. Each campsite has fire pit and picnic table. Very close to bathrooms that were spotless, had electrical outlet, soap dispenser, paper towels and Potable water tap and water fountains. Every site is within easy walking distance to the beach
